Hello F150 forum,

My 2001 F150 power mirrors stopped working at the same time.

What part do I need to replace and it is located in the driver side door somewhere?

I don't know? what did you diagnose as being bad?

Thank you for the quick reply. I put the switch on L and move the mirror control up down left and right the driver side mirror does not move anymore. I put the switch on R and move the mirror control up down left and right and the passenger side mirror does not move anymore. I presume something is not working properly.

check fuses? wiring?

I am trying to find out which fuse controls the mirrors and if anything else uses the same fuse. Googlling for that information. Thank you.

if it is both mirrors, it is either the fuse, switch itself, or the wiring to it.

KD thank you for the link to the manuals. Now it will not start. Turns over, has a full tank of gas, fuel pump engages. Does not fire even with starting fuel. Must be electrical problem somewhere.

The switch itself goes bad frequently, they are cheap and easy to replace.

You can check the fuse, then pull the switch and check for power.

The switch can be cleaned and possibly resurrected for a short time, they typically fail again in less than a year though.

It will take about 15 minutes to do all of it.

Thank you for the reply. Now the 2001 F150 will not start. It is the 6 cylinder. Plenty of charge in battery. Fuel pump engages. Full tank of gas. I drove it 10 days ago. I scanned and there are no codes. Does not even fire with starting fluid.

Any ideas where to check?
