Can I take the 5.4 l out of my 2001 f150 and put it in a 2004 f150, any problems ?

I am not sure if motor would line up. I will let someone else answer that.. However I do know there will be other factors involved such has probably different wire harnesses and CPU. Good luck.

I have 2 complete trucks, 2001 F150 4X4 auto. 90K on the clock, very rusty runs 100%, And a 2004 F150 4X4 auto 180K on the clock, nice body , motor is shot. the 01 is a 5.4L and the 04 is a 5.4 L 3 valve. My question is, will the engine and transmission from the 01 bolt into the 04 ? I have all computers and such so if that's the only problem . ???

Bolt up yes. Bell and mounts are the same. No not a direct simple swapp at all. Possible? yes. Take some major work. Dont get into it untill you've researched it completely.
