Default 2000 SCAB Bed Bolts

Ok. I did do some searching and couldn't find my answer and didn't wan to bump an old post, so I'm just gonna ask it here. Found a bed to replace my current one and thinking of ordering a new mounting kit to put the bed on. I have a 2000 F150 S-Cab standard bed 4x4 and wondering how many bolts the bed typically has. I could go check, but won't be able to until I get home tonight and this is going to bug me until then, so I thought I would ask.

Next question, what beds use the 8-bolt mounting kit? The long beds?

Thanks for any help on this.

I think there's 6. 2 front 2 back and 2 middle. Idk about the long beds but I'd say probably 8

Suggestion: cover the threads of your new bolts with anti-seize

Already planning on doing that. Thanks though!

I have never seen one of these mounting kits, but if it used the stock torx head bolts then I wouldn't get it. Normally when guys take the bed bolts out they replace them with hex head bolts to make it easier to get them out again if they have too.
