you sure its not a cv joint.

Bill I don't think the driveshaft was lengthened for the lift, I bought the truck this way. So I don't know about the marks on the yoke. And formula what would the symptoms be for a cv joint?

There is a TSB out for trucks back about '00, '01. My '01 has had the clunk in the trans since new. Ford says it is not 'normal' but will not hurt the vehicle. Here's a TSB that might help.
