Default Power mirrors?

OK. There is not a decent F250 forum, to be found. That's why I joined here. Have a 1998 F250. Here's my questions.
Currently, my truck has manual mirrors. I just replace both power window motors and noticed that it appears to be wired, with pigtails, for power mirrors.
Is it just a matter of changing out the manuals for the powers?
Would there already be a fuse installed for them or would I need to put one in?
I realize that I would need a switch'
And, would the below units be the correct one to use?
I thank you for any help.

Your best bet would be to use a voltmeter and check to see if you have current going to the pigtail

I would pull the drivers side switch panel off and see if you have a wiring harness connector that is unattached where the power mirror switch would be if supplied. You will not get any power to the mirror pigtails without a switch sending power to them. I would assume that it came with no power mirror switch due to the fact that the mirrors are manual so it is important to see if the wiring connector for the mirror switch is even there. A lot of times, cars/trucks have the same wiring harness for the model year of the car or truck they are installed on, the extra goodies (switches, etc) are not supplied but the power and ground connectors are sometimes there as it is more economical and less hassel to install the same wiring harness for "all" than having many different ones for each different model car and truck. (Larait vs XLT vs Harley Davidson, etc .. .) Not sure of the difference between them all but do not be surprised if it's there.

If the connector for the power mirror switch is there, check to see if you have power coming into it, if it does, you know you are most likely fused and the power suppling it is most likely the same fuse as models that can with power mirrors. Buy a power mirror switch if the connection looks right and install, then you will be able to use the switch to send power to the mirror wires to see if they are being suppled power/ground. If so, you are ready for your conversion. I would just try and put it exactly where it was supposed to go by cutting out the hole, why bother replacing it all as the switch looks pretty small.

The mirrors look correct and the company is reputable.

Good Luck

Just for giggles, I went to the local pick and pay. They had a green 98 F 150, with power mirrors. Ran a jumper to the bat. terminals. They worked. Pulled them and the switch.
$25. Took me 25 minutes to pull the old and install. Seeing how I already had the doors pulled apart, to install new window motors.
Thanks for the replies.
