Default 2000 F150 4x4 - Looking for Leveling Kit/Advice

Hey guys,

I've pretty satisified with how my truck is currently. Truck is a 2000 F150 ext cab 4x4 XL with the 4.6L and 6.5 ft box.

I really want to level out my truck and honestly I haven't put much thought into it. A local shop I heard about is pretty good so I'd go there. They're offering "Pro Comp 1.5" - 2.5" leveling kits for $299 installed. I do have a couple questions. I don't want a lift kit, just a kit to level out the front end with the back! (Maybe they're the same things? Like I said I don't know much about lift kits/leveling kits)

1) How much should it cost to get it all done properly. $250? $500? $1000?

2) Negative side affects? Harder on your tires and ball joints ect...?

Thanks and any other tid-bits of info is much appreciated.

Aftermarket keys destroy the front end. Since you dont have a super crew you can crank your factory keys and should be able to get level. Dont go over 24.25" from fender edge to center of the hub. After cranking the stock keys remember to get a alignment.

Crank your stock keys yourself to level it and all you need to pay for is an alignment.

What's the difference with a supercrew?

Most supercrews wont reach level with the stock keys due to the extra weight on the front axle.

No reason to buy aftermarket keys when your stock ones will get you level already.

How hard is to crank the factory ones? Is there a guide or video somewhere? Is it possible to do at home?

Any sides effects doing this over going aftermarket?
