Default 2000 4.6 to 1997 5.4 swap f150 *pics*

Hi guys,

I got a 2000 f150 4.6 that bit the dust at 250k. never once let me down but it lost oil pressure etc. I lined up a 1997 5.4l motor that had barely any miles. I had to build the motor from the shortblock since I had the heads ported.

I got the old engine out and the new one built and in during one weekend. I decided to use the 4.6 lower intake manifold since it had the intake valve and saw no fitment or flow problems otherwise. Had to swap my old oil filter mount to the new engine, I used the 4.6 tb and tps, extended IAC wire, extend o2 sensor wires, relocate those two small black sensors to the stock location and bend the exhaust to fit etc. All the other parts were from the 5.4 egr, iac those two black sensors, injectors etc.

Once all the major work was done hooking up the vacuum was a pain, the locations for some are in different locations which made it hard to remember.. shoulda took pictures lol. So I most likely had some connections crossed. Im pretty sure everything electrical is all connected so im ready to start it.

Truck turns over but wont start. I checked for spark with some special tool and there was spark. I pushed the shraeder valve in and fuel trickled out very lightly.. is it supposed to spray out under high pressure? Checked the engine codes because there was one even tho I just cleared it and p1000 keeps coming back. Could that indicate any sensor or connection i missed?

I used JMC swap notes as a bible however I stuck with the 4.6 converter since the tranny is freshly built and an excuse for a m5od would be cool. This truck is my daily driver and I need it or work every day! I hope I did not bite off more than i could chew but I could not turn down the deal I got on this motor. I figured I needed to at least swap in another 4.6 might as well do the 5.4 after reading how simple it should be..

I could really use some help here guys I cant get a ride to work after this week. tomorrow night I check fuel pressure and trace vacuum and electrical but any direction would be useful.
