2000 F150 5.4 mpg's
i just got a 2000 5.4L F150 its my first truck. it has a 3 inch lift and im only running 31 inch tires. and its getting horrible mileage (about 10 mpg's ) i replaced the spark plugs, new air filter, and fuel filter and no difference.... the only performance mods is a magnaflow cat back exhaust... is there anything that i can do to get my mpg's up?? i've been looking at those IAT chips, im not sure if those really work... also a cold air intake. (but im on a budget) has anyone made there own??
any help would be much appreciated.

I just bought my 4.6 5 speed w 265 75 16 & bl , it took 14.5 gallons to fill & presently has 268 miles on it..I'm figuring I get a lil over 20 mpg up to 23 , but will divide gallons & miles to know for sure ! It does have a k&n sytem & a chip on it , @ least thas what he said..

Installing an electric fan could give a slight improvement.

Have you sprayed down the MAF sensor with MAF sensor cleaner? Something isn't jiving, that's horrible gas mileage.
