I am looking at a used 1999 F150 with 200K miles. As per seller it has a 'rebuilt motor from Ford with 3yrs left on warranty - Tag from Ford wth date on Motor'

I have a message in to him to find out more info as to when/why motor was replaced but was there any kind of recall on the 1999s that would warrent a full engine replacement?

Is there a standard warrenty on replacement motors from Ford, if the warrenty still have 3 years left I couldnt expect it to be that comprehensive.

Dont take my word for it but Im pretty sure most factory replacement engines come with a 5 year warranty, and I wouldn't be too concerned about why the motor was replaced because with 200k on the truck I wouldn't doubt it if the motor just **** the bed. Just ask the guy if he has the paperwork for the swap so you know how many miles exacly are on the new motor.
