1999 F150 4x4 long box hydraulic clutch problem
Hi Everyone,
Seasons greeting from Saskatchewan, Canada to all to start.
I have a 1999 Ford F150 v6 4.0L 4x4 Standard 5 speed transmission regular cab., 198,000 km.
My problem is that I have to keep filling the hydraulic clutch reservoir about every 3 months. When it gets low I can't shift into low or reverse unless I pump the clutch pedal. In cold conditions below zero it is much worse.
Some background:
I had a new clutch pack installed a little over 2 years ago. That cost me around $2000 then. This problem showed up about a year later.
Questions:
Where is this cylinder located eg> between engine and transmission or on firewall etc.? Could I do this myself as I have a farm background and used to work on all types of machinery 20 years ago.
What would I be looking at for cost to have this repaired at a service center ...ball park figure? Is the truck worth it... I know this is a question to myself which will be answered by how much it costs.

The master cylinder is located on fire wall and connects to the clutch pedal. The slave cylinder is located inside the bell housing its a combo unit throwout bearing/slave cylinder. That's usually what starts leaking.
