Default OBDII trans temp?

I'm using a bluetooth dongle and windows app and it works fine for most of the rest of the data I need, but I can't get trans temps. Does the ECU output trans temp through the OBDII port?

eta - 2001 supercrew lariat 4wd, if it matters.

YES, but you can not see ATF Temp using a generic scantool. You need Ford Enhanced Interface to have access to parameters not available through generic OBDII. Check if your OBD-adapter will work on ScanXL. If it does you just need to purchase the Ford Interface Add-on.

Yes it does.
The torque app will display it.
Whether or not YOUR dongle accesses it is a different story.
