In the process of buying the above truck. Had been sitting for about 18 months. Previous owner could not get it to start. Replaced fuel pump it started. One thing they did was cut out the cc. I piped it back together no cc. Now truck has a hard time running. It gets a little better after warmup. But at idle rpm goes up and down. Also when i put the pedal to the floor it moved up to 3000 rpm max. Any advice would be appreciated

What do you mean by cc? Is the 3k rpm in gear or neutral?

Oh ok, so does it jave 1 or 2 cats per bank on it now? Does it stumble to get to 3k rpm? Do you jave a way to check your air/fuel ratios?

OK, makes sense now. Agree with JP.... tell us more about your current exhaust setup. Also, if you have codes, please post them..... O'Reilly or Autozone will scan them for free - but get the exact codes for us and post them. I'm guessing you're going to have a P0171 and P0174, but I may be wrong.

Sorry it takes so long to get back to you. I work long days. The setup on the exhaust has got 02 sensors up and downstream of the catalytic converter. Not sure what 1 or 2 cats per bank. Also i did not put any cc back on. Just ran straight pipe. Was told that would not be a problem. As far as codes po141 ,po155, po161 is what showed up. It did stumble to get to 3k rpm. Air to fuel ratio i am not sure.

Dont worry about it. What I mean by bank is the two "banks" of cylinders, four on the driver side and four passenger side. This means after the exhaust manifold the order should be (per side) 02, cat with a bend, straight through cat, then another 02, before the y pipe. I'll get into the codes when I get a little more time.

Ok so all of those codes have to do with your 02s. Mostly related to heater circuits or the o2 operating outside of normal range. This tell me that all of your 02s are still trying to function and if you aren't running any cats that will spell out trouble.
