1998 F150 Power Windows

Both power windows stopped working at the same time. I have replaced the drivers side many times and I have always thought it was a wiring issue. I have said to myself, there is no way that this many motors could be bad. Anyway, if anyone has any ideas please let me know. Thanks in advance for all the help.

Do you have power to the switches? Do you have power going to the motor when switches are pressed? All fuses/relays good? Any wires chaffed, kinked, or loose?

I hear something click under the dash when I press the power switch for the drivers side window. Last time I looked I didn't notice any bare or broken wires.

My windows would stop working and work again, then it stopped working at all and I left it for 3 years. Well I fixed it 5 years ago and still working today, It was the gem module messing up things. How I got the power windows to work is I ran a 14 gauge pure copper wire from my car battery to the Light Blue/Black that comes from the driver side switch. Around 8 amps is needed to feed both power windows at the same time, so don't run a thin wire or find any old 12V wire. The wire connectors are easy to get too just my removing the driver kick cover panel. See the 2 wire connectors, one with thinner wires that you leave alone & one with thicker wires for your power windows? I cut the Tan/Light Blue wire that comes from the driver switch & I cut the Orange/White wire coming from the window motor & I soldered them together bypassing the gem module.
