I have a 1997 f150 v6. I bought this truck first week of release. It has seen better days. Factory cracks, leaky windows, paint issues.

I found a 1999 v8 with 250,000 miles. Can I switch the 1997 v6 into a 1999 currently holding a v8? Both are automatice

Is that possible? I bought a rebuilt engine for the 97. It will be cheaper to put it into the 99 with a great body and interior rather then fix up the 97 body.
