5 times on/off ending in on. press either lock or unlock and the door locks will cycle. If they dont more than likely the transmittors are junk and the solder that holds the battery tab has crack and its not getting power.

Yeah it is. She let her son use it when he was in high school. And he put alot of aftermarket stuff on it. Did a good job though. But when he got a girl pregnant, she sold the truck and was making him get a family friendly vehicle.....

Carcrazygts2 - just went out and tried that too, no luck. Maybe 03f15012 is telling how it goes.

I'll get around to getting to the dealership, and settle it in a couple weeks or so.

Not a whole lot of good comes from teen pregnancies. Girl I liked in highschool got pregnant soon after graduating at the age of 19. Saw her the other day. shes 22 with two kids...

I bought a clicker from ebay and was able to program it on my 97 using the 5 quick on and off turn of the key method. However the remotes are different for the years because I first bought a clicker for a 99 model, thinking they are all the same, but my truck would not recognize it, but my friends 01 did.

The 5x method works on the 97-98 trucks if it doesnt work you may have a issue with the GEM module, due to a leaking front windshield. I have reprogrammed several remotes that way over the years for my truck. It works and is even in the factory owners manual.
