Giving my 03 4.6 some POP - What mods best bang for the buck? $600 to spend
Hello All,
First post here but really enjoying the site. I bought my second F150 last Tuesday an 03 Supercab Flareside 2WD 4.6L. All stock except for the ARE fiberglass tonneau cover. 1 owner 73k mile truck that happily has been very well taken care of. Had a 98 several years back and regretted to getting rid of it ever since.
I want to do a little work to her performance wise since there is no warranty to worry about voiding.
I plan on doing the GOTTS mod with a K&N filter, I have been looking into the Tuners and like the Granatelli Fuego since I can use it on my wife's Mustang too.
I have single exhaust on it and want to do something there to give it some sound.
I have about 600 bucks to do some mods, the filter and tuner will run me about 250-300. So what is the best bang for the buck performance wise to spend the rest on? Some other questions.... has any one used the Fuego to tune two different vehichles? How does that work out? Are there any other tuners that will do the same thing? How much would I gain from putting catback duals with a pair of cherry bombs or something like that on it?
I am getting ready to research the TPS adjustment mod on here so that may be something to look at too.
I know its not a lot of cash to work with, but still a family man and put back a little bit when I bought it to add a little to it. Anything more will have to wait a while. Looking for the tricks of the trade DIY kind of tweaks that enthusiasts like you all know that can sometimes make a big difference.
So what would you do with a stock truck and $600.00 to make it go as fast as you could?
