Breaks staying on even when batteries disconnected!?
Breaks staying light even when batteries is disconnected. I set out too fix my turn singling, an I've done that. In the process some how my breakb lights got Jared or something. Now I've replaced every, fuse. The bulbs, and the break switch component. When replacing break switch I was cleaning wiring an the leed touched my emergency break metal leg,,an caused some sparks even though battery was disconnected. Does that mean I have a wire touching somewhere between that insert electrical plug an the battery? If its disconnected how am I getting an ark? Please help am at a loss! Need my truck on the road desperate!

Not uncommon to have a slight amount of residual electricity present in some circuits. Capacitors can store electricity long after a power source has been removed. It eventually dissipates.

Yo... I'm not normally a grammer **** or anything but... what?
Are you saying that your brake* lights stay illuminated at all times?
That's what I think I'm reading I believe.
What was the problem with your turn signals that you fixed, and how did you fix it?
If your brake* lights were working properly before the turn signal repair job... that's the work to trace back to.
And the basic info will be required, what truck are we talking about? And how did you disconnect the battery?

I'm thinking English as a second language.
No one should be surprised by any lights working with the battery disconnected and the engine off. We're talking about Ford here. Magic's involved.

the truck is a 1991F150 lariat extra cab. I was told that my blinker problem was probably the mechanism inside the steering Colum under the wheel. This is how I first approached the problem. After inspection found this not to be true. The blinker switch worked fine. When first checking the fuses I did not realize the blinker fuse was not like the others large and round did not even know it was a fuse at first. So I went onto the break pedal switch an replaced it then the blinker fuse, followed by the bulbs. Now in this process I opened up the dash an steering wheel came off. This was a first for me. I tried not to disconnect existing wires an not being too rough on electrical components. I take the negative side off the battery off when disconnecting. Should I be removing the positive? Still need help still stuck. Yes the break lights stay on continuously unless I turn on blinker or disconnect the battery. Lost rookie
