Default 2001 F-150 Truck Bed Liner Paint

You can probably tell from the picture that I'd like to return the truck bed insert to a black flat or semi-gloss color. Anyone used any kind of special paint or dye? Do I just want to get a can of rustolieum and spray it? Is there some product someone has used before that gets great results? Thanks!

Ditch the drop in bedliner and bedline or paint the bed, that plastic ain't doing you any favors

i agree, if you're going to paint or bedline it, just do that actual bed. plasstic bedliners arent that good in the first place and not worth repainting or lining them. a good spray in or roll on bed liner in the actual bed will look much better and last much longer than the dro in. i just took my plastic bedliner out this previous weekend

yeah i was actually really nervous to see how my bed was, but once i got that liner out my bed is damn near spotless, obviously very dirty and dusty, but cleaned it out and looks real nice. aside from where the liner has rubbed on the bed for 18 years theres so paint rubbed off, but other than that no rust or anything really

I had a truck something like yours with a bedliner and it was better than I figured I would be but not perfect

Default 2001 F-150 Truck Bed Liner Paint

Thanks guys. If I had a little newer truck and undamaged bed I would invest in the paint scheme and ditch the plastic bedliner. For now I just want to have a decent looking plastic bedliner. I'll try some paint samples and see what happens. I have taken off the bedliner and truck bed to change the fuel pump - having done that I'd have to spend way too much money to replace or repair the bed where it was previously "kinked" at the front middle. The bedliner works great at hiding the kink.

Its plastic, I'd try sanding the surface to remove the discoloring etc. Idk what paints would work, especially if you use the truck as a truck

Acetone might work.

Meh, I like bedliners. I'd coat it with a layer of truck bedliner or something that's similar on the hardness scale.
