I have a 1997 f150 4.6 engine had a bad piston so i just recently got done replacing the motor. Everything is back in the truck went to turn the key nothing happens. Battery is good starter is good all the conections are good. Its not even getting power to the starter. Would this have anthing to do with the battery being unhooked so long?

Start checking your fuses on the firewall. They are called monster fuses and will be under a cover. You will see where the battery wires go to it.

are you talking about the fuse box under the hood? I havent seen any fuses on the firewall

If I jump the solenoid and have the key on it will start. But just turning the key by it's self does nothing
