Default 1997 F-150 Vehicle Speed Sensor Intermittent

I'm getting a flashing overdrive light, code scanner says vehicle speed sensor intermittent. Okay, put in new speed sensor same thing. Replaced battery, battery ends, ANOTHER alternator, I don't know what is throwing this code but it's irritating me. Any ideas where to go from here anybody? Been looking around online and I can't find squat on this exact problem. Everyone else replaced a speed sensor from the looks of it and it cured the flashing light. Not in my case. Thanks.

Brandon

Edit: code is p1502

Edit 2: alternator still doesn't charge in the morning. It seems like it starts charging when the engine and alternator get warm..

I would check your grounds. Look for corrosion and if you find any, clean them and tighten them down. Look on the firewall grounds first. then check the grounds from the frame to the body. Since you live in N. DaKota and your truck is about 18 years old, corrosion could be your problem. Cleaning up grounds may or may not be your problem but it is low cost maintenance and not hard to do.
