Could care less about your shirt or knuckles to be honest with you. You tossed aside a perfectly good answer like it was nothing.... that's the only inane thing going on here.

So do you actually own an F150?

Yeah, dude took me completely wrong - I was just joking with him. Both cases of diagnosis are completely viable, but he said MBB was wrong. If you don't have enough freon in the system (or have a bad LP switch), bypassing the low pressure switch will tell you that the clutch and gap are still good. Hitting it with a stick and pushing it closer to the magnetic field is also a great way of diagnosis. Personally, I'd first rather stick a wire in the harness before tapping it with a stick.....
BTW, Brew - he just barely joined. Does he have another account?

Yea, not this site so much. However, well known amongst other F150 sites. Good guy, has a history as one of those spot on contributor types. Yea, must have been board to join up haha.

Your assuming , like OP, that punching accelerator had something to do with it.
Id say thats just as likely to be coincedence, or mistaken perception, unless theres info being held back. Like doing own shoddy work, overfilling system, bad bearing making noise, compressor been making noise, etc . Often a trail to sudden clutch friction failure. Gradual wear tends to work intermittently when cool.
Coil can just simply burn out, but that would have nothing to do with acceleration either
Low press would kick on, then off immediately as well, and perform poor, freeze up before finally stopping working. Unless rupture hose, etc and have big leak.
How good is peoples perception or attention?
Try this:
