Guys....I know I have an issue with the door lock actuators cuz they dont always go up or down with the button. Gonna try to do the cheapo repair on them.
My question is............are they supposed to unlock automatically when you put the truck in park? They lock automaticallly when you put it in gear...they just don unlock. And if the are supposed to unlock...why aren't they?
Please let me know what you know....

On my '99, the door locks lock as soon as I put in gear and take my foot off the brake. On the other hand, when I put the truck back in park and take my foot off the brake, the doors unlock.

You can also turn the autolock feature off. So the doors will lock only when you lock them. It's in the manual how to do it. I don't remember exactly but it's something like turn the key on and off and on again, tap the brake, rub your tummy and pat your head at the same time, blow a bubble and count to infinity backwards. Something like that. haha

My truck had it turned on when I first got it and it drove me nuts. Turned it off within the first day of ownership.

I realize yo may want it enabled, I just wanted to let you know that it can be turned off.

LOL !!! That's exactly how it's done. Took me about 10 tries to get it right, and another 10 to over ride the seatbelt dinger.
