1997 4.2L v6 regular cab XLT - Engine Won't Fire!
#11
Well then what could be my problem? I don't think it could be either of those sensors since I am getting a spark and gas is getting to the engine.
I think the best bet is to somehow tow it over to my buddies shop and hook it up to the computer and see what is exactly wrong with it. But it would be nice just to fix it in my driveway.
Thanks guys for the input.

A back yard test that all can do is to spray starting fluid into engines intake (after doing this, please replace the intake hose from air cleaner to throttle body), crank engine and see if it fires off. If it does but quits quickly, your injectors are not firing or squirting fuel into intake. Thats the job of the cam position sensor, to tell the computor when to turn on the injectors. Another member suggested the use of an NOID light. I personally, have never performed this test. It does sound valid to me.
If you have access to an analyzer and a man that knows how to use it, go for it, makes perfect sense to me.
