So this? Isn't this the wrong year? And all I see is an explorer? Or will it work? If anyone can tell me it will I would buy it right now

 

Thanks for the input gents! The Expy I pulled the console out of was a 2000 Eddie Bauer edition. My console looks identical to the one white89gt found the picture of. So imagine it with a hole where those black AC controls would be. The other night I ordered a 12"x12" piece of ABS plastic from Crutchfield which arrived today. Unfortunately when I went out to pull the 12 splitter and switch I have been using out to see how much work it would take to modify, I noticed the mounting holes for the AC controls are set back from the hole itself, which might make mounting the trim piece interesting...

Ill post some pictures as soon as I start cutting the plastic for the switch plate.

 

I'll be damned if it isn't from a 2000. The only one I could find in my parts books was a 97 with console front controls. It must has a different basic number for that plate vs the stock number basic. I did find a quick picture of a 2000 with this set up. Notice the sunroof, so that answers why it's in the console.

 

No the explorer won't fit. It is easy to take the cover off and use it as a pattern to make one just get some material to match your king ranch.

 

Do you know if thise are wider than the Lariat center consoles? I've been looking at doing this but I'm afrsid my armrests will hit.

 

I can't find any. Can anyone else. I would like to find somthing like they have for the explorer

It's not an expedition it's for explorers, it's Out of stock and it's not King ranch saddle leather.
