I went down to a 16x8 and have 305/70's on which spec out at 33.2 x 12's they don't rub at all with full wheel lock either side and my t-bars are torques as well and they look good in my opinion it's simply prefrence though

305s are like 12 inches wide exactly I think. Those do look good but I think any wider would look ballooned. Especially if you had the 1/2 inch narrower stock 17s.

I used to run 33x12.50s on my old ranger with 7 inch wide rims. Never had an issue with wear patterns. I'd say you'll be fine like the majority
