Im thinking so. I know both of the lock switches inside the truck are wired through that switch, so if it goes out both switches become inoperable.

Do you know anyone with a tenth gen and a key fob that will let you pop off that little switch panel and unplug it to see what happens or swap for a minute?

I dont know if they have a keyfob but one comes to mind I'll ask them later today. The part I find weird is if you double tap the lock button on the fob it arms the alarm but the doors do not lock and if you open it it doesn't set off the alarm. But if you manually push all the locks down, the unlock on the keyfob will unlock all 4 doors, same with inside switch if I manually push them all down. So that's why I am so confused. If it was neither lock or unlock working I'd know for sure it was something to do with the switch but the fact that one works and the other doesnt it makes me wonder more.

Also sitting in the drivers seat pressing the lock button I hear a light tick noise coming from the dash with each push

And a quick edit since this is the first time I'm driving the truck in a few days because the wife needs the car the locks started to work after that ticking noise and a bit of bouncing around.

Also pretty sure I need new rear tires my whole *** end slide when I made a turn with the roads just a little wet. Scared me a little thankfully no one next to me and was only doing at 5-10mph

Sounds like you may just have a loose wire or something. Tires with tread are a good thing too. Lol

The lock confirmation chirp is what I wasn't hearing. It works now as JP said I think it's just a short in a wire somewhere.

So went to talk to my retension people today, and found out both Hawaii and Alaska are options for my next contract. So... if I go to Alaska the truck of course will be coming with me. If I end up taking Hawaii (which the wife wants) I will be needing to either put the truck in storage, pay god only knows how much to ship her to hawaii and back, and the last option my parents have volunteered to baby sit her while I am stationed there for a few years.

Selling the truck isn't an option as I want to keep this truck for good. It's pretty much rust free, and in less than 7 months it will be paid for.

Any opinions on getting ready to store the truck for 2-3years? (I'll keep everyone updated as I look at my options if I end up going out of the lower 48states or what not.)

Tons of opinions on storing the truck. I would google it to get the best results (look at car collector sites, these guys store very valuable cars for long periods).
