Yeah I understand how to wire up the radio I just didn't know if there was a way to just wire the output of the DVD player to the monitor but as I see now they are mostly all a/v output. As far as the speakers go the audio for the monitor plays through the trucks speakers and through the headphone jacks on the center console

Yeah I definitely am not paying that much for that. As far as the unit it's just a standard cassette and CD player. The wiring is different though I'm guessing because when you turn on the VHS player a little icon comes up saying video and sound stars coming through the speakers. I took the radio out of my dads f250 which plugged right in and was identical and it powered right up but no sound would come out of it

Did you buy a harness for the new radio? Like to connect it from the factory connectors to the aftermarket radio or are you hard wiring it?
Personally id try and find a correct harness to kind of eliminate any guess work. If you cant, google the wire harnesses for your truck and then for the radio as well.
Once you have those id do a little trial and error testing. Just make sure you have some extra fuses handy just in case.
There is a company online ( one of many i assume) that does hard to find radio wiring. Not very expensive either. Its either called meta or metra i think.
If all else fails give your local radio install or custom audio shop a call. Maybe even a best buy and ask to talk to a head install tech. Describe it best you can and write down any info they give ya.
Sorry i cant be of more help. I had to solder in my factory wire before i put in my new deck because the previous owner cut it all out lol so to me keeping the wiring as close to stock as possible is best. Imo anyways.

Thanks for the reply. I ordered the head unit from crutchfield and it came with the harness to plug In the factory plugs but it only came with one plug. So the other plug I'm guessing is the controls for the factory radio and the monitor. (It has a control panel in the back of the console) I've searched for a while and can't find a wiring diagram anywhere just for a expedition. The only video output the head unit has is RCA cables so really I just need to find a way to power back up the monitor but it's hard without having a wiring harness. I may try to call a audio shop Monday if I can't figure anything out
