From what I can see, you should be able to run a simple A/V cord from the deck back to the monitor. I would just bypass the vhs deck.

Does this look like the plug on your vhs module?

This might sound simple and overlooked but did you do a search for a expedition radio? That would be the one i would think that had video as more common than an f150

Yeah I agree I'm thinking that may be the best/easiest way to do it if it'll work

See if I can explain this a little better.

Wiring up the new headunit/dvd player in the dash is super simple. You wire it just like a regular cd player by these wire codes. https://www.f150forum.com/f30/97-03-...basics-201203/
When you purchase the deck, crutchfield sends you the needed adapter.

The only thing going from your deck to the monitor would be a yellow wire for video. If your monitor doesn't have speakers, then we obviously need the truck speakers to play the sound.

Yeah I actually pulled the radio and got the part number and the only one I could find was one used one on eBay for 220 bucks and I don't see shelling that much out for a own radio as they are prone to cd problems anyways

Unless you go to a junkyard and find a working dvd w/monitor and a working deck then you are going to be paying well over 200-300 bucks for decade old parts that are prone to failure and nearly obsolete. Everyone has what they like, I just can't see the justification in that.

Yeah I understand how to wire up the radio I just didn't know if there was a way to just wire the output of the DVD player to the monitor but as I see now they are mostly all a/v output. As far as the speakers go the audio for the monitor plays through the trucks speakers and through the headphone jacks on the center console

If you get a chance, take a picture of your headunit and post it
