ibd2328 I have found the 4r100 is typically only in 7700 the have spring code 73. I dont know why Ford did that. But for all of the ones I have worked on and looked at purchasing myself. Those seem to be the only ones..

Being that the seat belts are in the seats you will need buckets from 2002-2007 F150's They all will bolt in with no problems you will have to tap 2 holes in the floor pan. The mounting slugs are already there. Center console you can get from and 97-02 Navigator or Expedition. You will have to tap the holes for the mount and then bolt the console to it.

Carcrazygts2 from my understanding the LEV (Low Emissions Vehicle) 7700's were the only ones outfitted with the 4R100's. I think a large/huge porotion of those were California compliant. I know VA had a few, but I think they are a bit more rare than people think.

I initially thought all 7700's had the heavy duty tranny, but apparently not. Best way to check is the pan. 14 vs 20 bolt I guess.

This is from 97-03... The 4R100 was formely know as the e40d
The 4r100 is a heavy duty 4 speed transmission. These are found in all the below:
F250's
F350's
Lightnings
Expeditions
Navigators

The 4R70 is the general transmission for a F150. Some of the 7700 versions(formenly known as F250 LD) have 7 lug axles and a few other payload upgrades.
