Yes Fabtech is a true 6" kit, but so is BDS. Actually it lifts the truck 6" from stock, so it's 4" lift from being leveled. That's why it's a 4" block. Then sometimes that's why they offer a 5" block because you can get another inch in the front from yur torsion bars, but then your cv axle angle gets more severe the more it's cranked.
Sorry this took so long. I was away this weekend. The cv is at the stock angle. There is a spacer that was needed. Not sure why.

Thanks.

Spacer is needed because if BDS is like Fabtech, the new knuckle adds 1" wider stance on each side.

Yeah I want 1/2 inch spacers for the rear. My front width is exactly 1" wider

Welcome.

I kind of figured that, but I wasn't sure.

Personally I would leave it, wider stance in the front will help track better anyways.

Grille looks good, I need to do mine too. Was it a pain?

Not at all. I used house hold painters tape to mask off around the grille and over the Ford emblem. I used sheets to cover the hood and fenders and draped them down over the headlights. I laid towels on top of the bumper and over the bull bar. Everything was protected from overspray. Just make sure you dust it lightly to avoid runs. Remember, you will be hitting many areas 4 times per complete coat because you have to come in from 4 angles, left, right, up and down. Two coats is all it took me.

If you leave it in the grill surround DON'T spray it if there's a slight breeze, it will overspray everywhere.

If you do want to take it out to paint it seperate it's not to hard. Pull your headlights out, corners too. There's ike 6 screws to pull the surround out then I think 6 clips to pop it out then you can spay it real good.

IMO it was quicker to pop it out of the grill surround than it would of been to tape the frontend off and have the chance of overspray. Just my opinion.
