I just looked through a few hundred 4x4 stickers, and I think I will just delete them. I can always add something later if I want. Just hope the passenger side is not faded so you can see the old sticker location.

Thx, that winter pic is sitting in the dealership parking lot. I was picking it up after having both doors the rocker panel and cab corner replaced after being t-boned in nov. On the upside now I only have to replace one rocker on my dime.

Got bad news last night. My truck's cancer is worse than expected. Pulled the fenders off to patch the rockers and found that rust ate the front cab corners. It is starting on the fire wall and under the bed and the inner bed walls along with under the cab. The rear driver's door (which we thought we could patch) would have to be replaced. It's simply not worth sinking the money into fixing everything.
The plan is to fix the damage to the bed and drill holes in the rockers and doors and plug them. This will allow me to pump oil in twice a year to preserve what I can. I also have to oil the insides of the fenders twice a year via behind the tail lights, and avoid winter driving if I want it to survive. I am going to undercoat everything as well.
The body shop is hooking me up with a trick oil gun. It works like a paint gun. Pour drain oil into a bottle and hook it up to a compressor then soak the **** out of every interior body space. Then give it a few days to stop dripping.
I suggest everyone do this to their trucks before it is too late. Even vehicles that are a few years old are getting bad due to the liquid stuff they put on the roads now.
We are getting a new crossover in the fall and I will have holes drilled everywhere that is needed so I can oil it.

I like the Explorer. It has the style we like, but Kia's 10 yr/100k mile powertrain has drawn us in. They have similar styling to Ford and are less expensive. I think $30k is our max, and I can probably get a decent Sorento at the end of the season for that price.
