02 ford f150 occasionally no start
ok bought the truck in march winters are cold where im from, when it was below -20 degrees Celsius it wont turn over at all nothing, but try it a few times then itll fire and along with what sounds like a starter drag after it starts. although for a second still there and only when its cold as well. all summer no problems with starting at all no drag now that one day was -11 it dragged abit after starting my questions is could it be the starter? if it were to calf out why would it be fine all summer then only act up in the cold its not the battery as its brand new any help would be appreciated as im in trade school and cant afford paying for parts that don't need replacing right now also the solenoid on the firewall is new so im not sure what else there is

Check the starter. The windings inside or the armature could be damaged, and when it is cold, everything turns slower, thus causing a harder pull on the starter.
