02 Ford F150 4X4 Tires!!!
It is time for new shoes for my truck, it has the stock size 265/70R17 on right now, would like to go maybe 285/65R17, any good suggestions out there on what to buy or a combo that may make the stance a little better? I'm just not sure I want to go with the same size again. Thanks in advance.

Sorry
Kinda new to posting, thank you for the reply, by stance I meant I don't really like the skinny ish tire, want to go wider but not lose the fullness in the wheel well if that makes sense.

Cooper S/T, I have that tire in that exact size on my truck right now. This will be my fourth set of Cooper S/T's and each set has lasted me about three years and I drive 20,000-25,000 a year. The 285 fills out the wheel wells nicely without rubbing any. I could've got a 33/12.50 if my bumper wasn't bent slightly backwards, literally it's not even a noticeable bend, but it is. The 285/65 17 is a 33 but I believe the width is 11.75" or something like that.
Correction, my tires are 285/70R17. My bad.

You're very welcome. For whatever reason it's hard to find pics that show how tired fit on a truck, lol. I couldn't find any regarding the 285's, so I just took a chance on them.

Just for a little more perspective here are some before pics and then the after pics again.

You're welcome, that's what we're here for. It's funny though, I couldn't wait to get these tires and now I'm looking at it wanting to put a 3" lift and some 35's eventually, lol. The mod bug bites hard once you start.

Seriously guys, as 65 series (285/65/17) is a very uncommon size and falls well short of 33". Exact diameter is 31.7". I'm not even sure if they make offroad / all terain tires in this size.
Get a 285/70/17 is a 32.7", that's more the size your probably after and there are lots more tire options in that size.
There are definitely other metric sizes you can use too, but the size i mentioned is fairly common since they are a bit wider, and are VERY close to 33's. They generally fit without any modification and are readily available. Hense the popularity with them.
