SOLD...OEM HID Chrome Headlight Housings

This is for a set of OEM HID chrome housings, this is only for the housings. No Bulbs, ballasts, etc. The price is $600 shipped to the continental U.S. or $550 for local Phoenix, AZ pickup. Shipping is a killer for these things.
All tabs are still in tact, all clips, and everything is perfect for mounting. The lens are normal wear and tear from being used. Still in great shape and no cracks that I could see.

You would need to buy these things:
$80 harness if you are going from halogen to HID

$130 for 2 ballasts
https://www.theretrofitsource.com/oe-replacement-osram-35xt5.html?carDisplay=2014+Ford+F150+%28HID+Equipp ed%29&preselect=&preselect_restrict=1

$75 for 2 bulbs
https://www.theretrofitsource.com/d3s-morimoto-xb-hid.html?carDisplay=2014+Ford+F150+%28HID+Equipped %29&preselect=&preselect_restrict=1

$45 for the ballast to bulb cables (I couldn't find these the retrofit outside of a package I also do not know why the right side is more expensive. These actually might come with the new ballasts. I was nto 100% sure on that)

You might also need the dust covers
$12

FYI you can find these items cheaper on Ebay and other sites, but this is more for reference. If you purchased this stuff, you would be in it for $942 for better bulbs and new ballasts compared to factory. I found the ballasts and cables for $110 or best offer on Ebay. That would mean you would have about $877 in these all done.

There is also this kit which has everything but seems more expensive...

I just upgraded to the black version which is why I am selling.

They look nice. Do you know this headlight assembly plays well using LED bulbs glare wise?

No Clue. They were factory on my 14 limited so I have always run them as HID. I don't know why you would put an LED bulb in anyway. HID still has better output when compared to LED.

Thanks. The $250 cost different per your post prices to retro to HID vs LED is one factor. The article below talks about the HID technology and its glare factor over LED. Actually all OEM F-150 headlight systems are awesome over the stuff from yesterday year. My wife has HID low beams are over 15 years old but I did change out the assemblies to get rid of the internal hazing of the mirrors. The laser headlights info was news to me but sounds interesting.

Ya, if you are willIng to open up your headlights and retro that way will be cheaper and then I would retro to LED and a projector set up for LED. But that can be difficult to do well the first time, especiallly the alignment part of it.

Otherwise these are factory set up to be ran as HID with a HID projector assembly.

You’ll be very hard pressed to find folks on here willing to spend 600$ on empty housings. Most on here go for 500 to 700 conplete. Plus most here are cheap, looking for deals. Anyways good luck with your sale. 👍🏻

Going from chrome to black is a downgrade in my eyes lol. GLWS.

I have them posted in multiple places and have already had a few offers.

I based my pricing on what I saw on eBay and previous posts. Nothing on eBay is as close to this quality and they are asking $300+ for one side. Some are $200 but have been welded shut from cracks and are still empty housings.
