I have a 2011 F150 XL Supercab . My truck has been in shop for 5 months now. My mechanic has been playing trial and error, orders aftermarket part, needs programming, still doesn't work. I live in a rural area, we have no uber, no delivery service. This whole problem with the shortage of parts, has made my a living hell. How or what can I do.

 

I would go to the main forum and explain the issues you have and what he’s done so far to fix it, could be someone out there that had similar issues. Throwing parts at a problem hoping it gets fixed is going to cost a good bit!

 

So far my mechanic ordered a aftermarket PCM from New York and for some reason , when they tried to program it, came up with error code. So he decided to send my original out to be rebuilt.. it all seems to a waiting game, a costly one at that.
