Northeast: "MP" Door checks (See details within!)
#121
Just got done wrapping it all up. I've been gone for several months for work, and the interior was just filthy and dusty. I'm pretty much O.C.D with vehicle interiors and a little mess, is like a pig pen to me.
But anyways, what I discovered is, it's a lot easier if you don't pull the passenger side rubber tray out completely. Seems like the stamped steel, inner sheet-metal opening isn't stamped exactly to fit the rubber tray, so it doesn't snap back into place as it really should. Kinda sloppy on Ford's part, to be honest. So I found the best way to do this in the future, when removing the stock check, is to just push the back half of the rubber insert tray, inboard, just enough to slip the old check out, and the new check in. There's several wiring harness, connectors, and metal stand-offs right there in the way, so it makes it a bit of a challenge to negotiate it back into the stamped opening, when you have hands as big as a catcher's mitt. And... it also helps to access it from the plastic panel that goes around the door vent.
The whole interior is back together, the carpet's been scrubbed and vacuumed, all of the interior plastic, dash, and door panels have all been cleaned and treated, the windows and mirrors are cleaned, and it looks as nice as it should again. So glad ol' man winter is gone!
And now... I don't have to worry every time I open a door that it's automatically going to be drawn to the car parked next to it! Great product and great service... thanks a ton! The cores are boxed up, the label's attached, and I'll have these sent back to you on Monday! Probably going to order another set for the kid's truck soon, too.

That's great! Ya know, I never noticed that I do say "brother" often!
The install is pretty straight forward & just tighter area on the pass side. You'll love them!
Thanks, man!
