Default 5.5 camper shell wanted

Looking for a camper shell for a 2013 super crew with 5.5 bed. Really want grey but any color will do for the right price. Located in NC. Thanks

Check your local Craigslist. I bought a used one and had it color matched at Maaco paint. Paid something like 500 bucks for the canopy and another 500 for the colormatch. A new SnugTop canopy at that time would have set me back about 2200 bucks.
Good luck in your search.

Thanks, I’m keeping an eye out. I picked up a color matched ARE last year for 280 and sold it for 1100 like an idiot to put a soft topper on. I like thensoft one but am looking for a real one again.

Lol. No protection like real protection. Went from a Canopy on my last 3 Trucks to a tonneau in this rig. The guy actually had a soft, collapsible canopy attached to the tonneau and was trying to give it to me. Seems he came to realize when you live in the Northwest rain is a concern and the soft top was not doing its job of keeping moisture out. I bought the tonneau from him and suggested he find someone to give the other top to.
I have done some looking but with later model F150 (2015-2018) there aren’t a lot of used toppers for sale.

I've had good luck on facebook marketplace. Use the following keywords in individual searches; topper, camper, shell, cap. Different people use different terminology. I've bought four in the last month or so, for as little as $100! When I discovered this, I buy them up, bring them home and post them on craigslist and usually resell them in about three or four days. I eventually found the one I wanted to keep for $500. All the money I made on the other ones paid for this one, and I still had a couple hundred bucks left over. Often, people will buy a used truck that already has a topper, and they just want to ditch the topper for various reasons.

The one I finally kept, was an ARE cab-high, with the smooth side window and internal frames, carpeted interior and flip-down sliding front window, and it's in excellent condition. Looks like it's damn-near brand new. If I had bought this topper new, it would have been about $2500. It sounds difficult, but it's really easy, once you start digging into it.

I just picked up a Century Royal with drop out window, lights, headliner, roof rack in perfect condition for $200. Guy talked himself down from $500. Only problem is its black and I got a grey truck, gotta find someone to paint or help me learn now.
