Yea found a little spot that was just screaming 'come play' so I indulged a little..

What are the SC laws (if any) on tailgates down? Seen a few other trucks around here with them down while driving.. I know in my home state FL it's a no no.. Thanks!

I haven't heard anything here about it being illegal. I know you get worse mileage, thats for sure.

I don't think there is a "law" against it, but it could give a cop a reason to pull you over. If they think it blocks your tag, for example. Or, if there is a law about it, it will just be another fine they can throw on you.

Seems like they will pull you over for almost anything these days... My dad got pulled over because his year sticker was "Faded". Sticker was brand new, and it was just yellow.
