Almost had a similar thing happen to me in my Audi. Left the mall and was feeling a little wobble. Figured it was just my imagination. Got home and didn't even think about it. The next day on the way to school it just got worse and worse. Had to stop and check. Apparently one of my lugnuts started coming loose and at some point came all the way off. The others had slowly started doing the same thing. Still convinced someone actually removed one of the nuts while I was at the mall....

What I'm thinking is I over tighntened one with the impact wrench and stripped it .and when I got to looking my studs are really short. So thinking the combination of the stripped stud and having short studs caused them to strip easily when it started to wobble

Sounds logical. That's why I never touch the impact. Ever.

Last time I was at discount tire I requested they do it by hand, to my surprise they were completely fine with that. Seems like I'm not the only one to ask.

I only run them up with the impact then hit it with the torque wrench. Let us know if you need any parts. I have the factory lugs sitting in the garage, along with the 20s and mirrors and more junk lol.

Thanks man. I know I have to replace the brake drum from dragging across the higHway and I still have my stock rims and lug nuts. Calling ford tomorrow to get it picked up and worked on. If the rim is shot I'm going to put my new tires on my stock rims until I get they money for a new rim. But if I need anything I will let you know.

Just the basic stock '08 non-dimming non-powerfold non-tow. It's the one piece style no reflectors.

And the 20's are the stock '09-'10 FX 20s. They have decent street tires on them with the TPMS still nounted. I just took them off and rolled them into the garage when I put on the 18's. I use one when I rotate the tires so i don't have to fight with the spare under the truck. Other than that they just sit there and take up space. They have some rash and nicks where they took the old weights off of them but they aren't too bad.
