Default Georgia Off-road & Camping

I'm new to Georgia and hoping to spend some time doing some light wheeling, hiking and spend a few days camping. Can anyone recommend state or federal land campgrounds? I'm in Atlanta, but no great location is too far! Thanks in advance!

I see! I work out there a good bit and have been in Smyrna a lot recently too on a job site we've had.

Don't mean to hijack the thread here. I'm also in metro Atlanta. Can any of you guys recommend a custom exhaust shop? Thanks for any info!

I personally don't know of any on your side of town or ITP for that matter but if you're willing to drive a bit I know of a really good one out here in the Conyers/Covington area. They've just recently started out and are wanting to get their name out so it could "potentially" only cost you the parts and slapping their sticker on your truck.

I called a buddy of mine and he suggested G&S Auto and Muffler in Marietta. I went in yesterday and got a custom exhaust with a Magnaflow SI/DO set up installed in less than 2 hours for $345! I highly recommend them!

Would also recommend GAR Motorsports on Roswell Rd in Marietta. They do all the work on my truck and will beat just about any price out there. Great guys.

I know this is an old post but I live in Woodstock and would love to find a place to do some light offroading. I have a stock 4x4 so nothing crazy but I want to sling some mud this weekend. Would love to know where I can go. Willing to drive a couple hours if needed.
