I know of a couple places depending on what you need.

I will need a experienced mechanic for a tune up. I've always done them myself, but the thought of plugs breaking off really turns me off. I've read too many horror stories on this forum about plug issues. I know the time is coming for a tune up. From what I read on this forum, every Ford dealer charges different with some up to $1000.00

I work at a dealership and they charge about $280 plus 60 for each plug that breaks. I hear if you do it right with the right preparations such as spraying them with anit-seize the week before, you should be ok. There are some members on here that have done it without one plug breaking. Make sure when you do it you get the new one piece design. $1000 for a tune up is ridiculous. Thank God I have a 4.6L cus I did mine with a friend in an hour. Id check around to some places and get some quotes. Search Mad Hatter Muffler and Tire. They are a good shop on Dixie Hwy in between Atlantic Blv and Cypress Creek Rd. I got my exhaust done there as well as my wheel bearings.

Thanks for the info. I was actually talking to a mechanic at a local shop and he was telling me the plug is one piece, but I swear I read on this site they are two piece? I used to do my own tune ups but don't want to even try after reading the post here. Do you work at a Ford dealership in Broward?

The sawgrass ford dealer charges $300 flat for replace the spark plugs, even if they break. all included. check with them if you are not going to do it by yourself. if you are going to do it by yourself, get the sparkplugs and the lisle tool, i can stop by and assist if you want.

Thanks - I actually bought the truck from them. Good to know they aren't totally ripping you off like some of the dealers I've read about.

Yea 300 flat is a great deal id go to them if I were you. Unless your plugs were changed already then they should be 2 piece. The new ones that you put in are the new 1 piece design. I work at a dealer is delray beach.
