87 F-150 Transmission
Some prior owner to me getting my f-150 changed out the engine and trans from the 6-cyl/E40D to a V-8 with either an AOD or AODE transmission. I tried to post in the trade section with this but it would not let me for some reason. I am looking for someone that has a working AOD or AODE Transmission for sale, I can tell you that I recently changed the fluid and filter and I had to try 3 filters before I got the right one and it was a WIX 58877.
The transmission works great but a recent trip to N.C. now has it leaking fluid after I turn it off from the dust cover area between engine and bellhousing. I also was told that there is not much pressure on these transmissions so if it is leaking from there it signals another problem like a bushing/ converter/ or internal problem with the trans....
Any help would be appreciated.
