Ditto for some service on my previous F150. Honestly, if they had the truck I was interested in and were willing to meet the price I got elsewhere, I would have bought there again...
After my experience with Morries it's hard to believe any of these dealerships want to help. I'll check out Apple Auto.

LOL at all of the Gopher names in here.

I bought at Morries as well with zero issues. I've also had good experiences with Brookdale/Superior Ford in Plymouth.

As for service depts.,Morries did the phasor job on my '07 Lariet Screw before I bought it two years ago, and she purrs like a kitten with 20ish K since I took her home. I bought the Buy Happy oil change deal with the 9 free oil changes, but only used 1. It took them well over an hour and a half, and it cost me $70ish to upgrade to full synthetic....Hardly worth the drive to Buffalo.

Haha ya know...I was thinking the same. I'm a UofM alumni that's the only reason I chose it...God knows it wasn't because of their athletics program (it's sad a school that size doesn't have a better reputation in sports).

Anyway...I just had my service done at Morries Buffalo Ford since it's just down the road from me and we bought it there. I was fairly unimpressed overall with their service. The service manager, while he was only doing his job, made sure that he treated me like I knew nothing about the truck and basically told me that everything was normal when we both knew that it wasn't. Still...having gone to Tousley when their previous SM was there, I was used to them being candid about issues they saw with vehicles and being honest when it was Ford creating obstacles. In this case, at Morries, the SM pretended like nothing was wrong and made sure he protected Ford when I brought up the TSB's that covered the issues I was experiencing (minus the build date of course).

My oil change for 7.8 quarts was $45.xx for full synthetic using the buy happy coupons. Seems like a lot to me but whatever. It surprises me they charged you that much, but it doesn't surprise me they took that long. The first time I brought my truck in for an oil change they turned me away and told me to make an appointment because a number of their techs hadn't shown up for work. It didn't make me comfortable to go back...but...it was about convenience and buy happy. Besides...if they screw up...they screwed up with the wrong guy...and they'll soon be finding that out after this last service appointment.

Honestly...as much as I was disgusted with how AutoNation (formerly Tousley) treated us when we tried to buy a truck with them...I truly believe their service department is one of the best in the metro. They're just too far away from me now.

I don't use the dealerships for service any more. If you need work done, and are on the North Side of town, Wagoman Brothers can't be beat. In fact, many of the dealerships in town send them work because they have a full machine shop. I was steered toward them by a neighbor who is a Chevy body guy when my old Expedition shot a spark plug out of its head. Brookdale Ford wanted $1500ish to replace the head, but Waggys helicoiled in a new sleeve and plug for $400. Since then, they get ALL of my business. Great work from an honest company.

As for Gopher sports....I feel ya. I'm still a Gopher puck fan, but the last couple of years haven't been easy. At least our new football stadium is worth the price of the ticket, even if the team on the field isn't. If you haven't gone to a game yet, I would highly recomend it. The view of downtown is beautiful.

I'm glad I seen this thread, I'm in MN and currently looking for a 2016 F150. I was at Autonation last night and they are all nice people there that don't pressure you. I actually bought our Edge there this spring and had a good experience with that. We couldn't agree on a price last night so I walked away which kind of sucked but what do you do? I'll just keep looking and check some of these dealerships you guys are recommending. It looks like that Superior-Brookdale has some good deals?

I would agree that AutoNation has a lot of nice people...it's not that they aren't. I was just surprised that after lots of back and forth between myself, sales, and sales manager, a truck that we were ready to buy but needed to be transported (and were told it was secured according to the SM) wasn't available after spending 3 hours on the first 60-70 degree day of the season (back in 02/2016...what a treat that was) at the dealership. The guy jerked us around and kept trying to get us into an Explorer instead...man...I was pissed.

I know it's a drive, but try Tenvoorde and a guy named Ed. They were helpful and wanted to help us out, but when it came to dealing, they only dealt so much and Morries beat them out. Their prices were still fair and the atmosphere wasn't as fake as AutoNation and some of these other dealerships where it seems like you're walking into a large production.

Great thread guys. I'm a little late to the party as I just came across it but I think it would be worthwhile to keep it going.

Like @gopherman, I purchased my 2016 from Morries Buffalo. Sales person (Thomas) was great, knew everything there was to know about the F150s. Also their sales manager was a great guy too and not at all shady or pushy. The only complaint I had was with the finance guy but I tried not to let it ruin the overall experience.

Trade in on my previous truck was $1800 more than the other Ford dealer I visited (North Country) and the selling price was the same.

Service wise I cannot comment as I haven't used them (too far of a drive). I go to Morries Minnetonka and so far have no complaints.
