I have this 2006 F150 with a 2009 5.4 3v motor in it. The installer of the motor could never get it running right and now it is basically undrivable. I would love to find a local shop that will figure out what to do and how to fix it. It was at tom holzer ford and they wanted to tear down the motor after $400 of checking. I am just looking for an honest shop to diagnosis and fix it once and for all.

did the guy put the computer in from the 09 or no? i would imagine that might be an issue.

You would think. From what we read and my research it doesn't matter. Motors are the same. Just need oil pan, intake, and fuel rails from the 2006.
