My in-laws, live out that way.

I actually live in Broussard, but make the commute to Berwick daily. Luckily the miles go on a company truck!

Tell me about it, I had put 20k miles on a 5 month old truck working in New Iberia, when I bought it. Just over a year now, and my 36k bumper to bumper is almost gone, lol.

I was at the office for 7am, wasn't fun. Sadly no compensation, if I would have made it longer we may have moved that way, but got layed off after 6 months.

0430 shift change ain't no joke either. It's a miracle I haven't broken more alarm clocks or cell phones when they wake me up at 0300.

Started driving our old beater 04 Grand Marquis to the plant to save the miles on the F150.

We do 0300-1500 shift change contractually it's 0500-1700 so if for some reason you running late your not late as far as the company is concerned until 5. It screws the person your relieving but we just come in early another day or stay late another to make up for it.

If I get another job out of town, cause this one aint lookin a whole lot promising much longer, I am gonna go pick up an old Nissan, Yota, or Ranger Tonka toy truck for a few thousand, for commuting, just carry liability and wrench on it as needed.
