Well y'all, it's back to the **** for my family and I. Just got the slate notification that we'll be transferring to Belle Chasse! We lived there from '06 to '10 and we're coming back. Probably living in base housing at the Air Station.

Looks like we dodged a bullet with Hurricane Nate. Spent the last two days securing things at the camp in Grand Isle and at my house just in case the storm came more in our direction. Now to get the storm shutters opened up and the patio furniture out of the garage. Two boats and a Ranger crew need to be hauled back down to the camp. Thankfully it was more of a practice run then anything...hope the people in Mississippi and Alabama get everything cleaned up quickly...could have been a lot worse.
