KCMO area 5.4 phaser mechanic or/and performance shop needed.
Looking for a mechanic that knows how to do the whole 5.4 phaser rebuild to include checking the lash adjusters, oil sending units, etc in the KCMO area. I know I could take it to the dealer but I am concerned I will get the "well the whole motor needs to be replaced" thing once it is torn down.
I would also consider a good performance shop that can do a phaser lock outs, RV cam, and a tune as an option over replacing the phasers. Especially if the price points were not far off.
Timing components need to be replaced either way.
I am not afraid of a dealership if anyone knows a good one, I just don't want to shoot from the hip. Thanks for any suggestions or any shared experiences.
