How do you like the new scheels, that place is maSsive. I've spent a lot of time the last 2 years in Billings and love it. I've worked in great Falls and it just didn't compare to billings lol. If you get some time, head out to Natural Bridge near big timber. I think it's about a 2 hr one way trip from billings to the falls. I've been thr u yellowstone, yosemitie, tetons, mt. Rainer etc and natural bridge is my favorite.

Good lookin' pickup. I just couldn't bring myself to spend 50k on a new ride. I picked up a 14' ecoboost with 20000 miles on it instead. Love this truck.

I'm hoping to move to Montana sometime in the next year or so, Thinking about Helena, Butte, Missoula, etc. Hoping for a mountain view and a conservative community. I know, kinda hard to find sometimes.

Just waiting on the right job to come along and I'll be there.

If you're looking for a true conservative town to live in, Missoula will be the last on your list. That place is craze. Great place to visit, but I would never want to live there. Butte is a bit better, and absolutely beautiful, but you will be driving to helena to pick anything up that can't be purchased at walmart, or at a local store (Truck parts ) My vote would be somewhere like Helena. Helena is in a valley situated in the middle of the ranges. It's an easy drive to get damn near anywhere out of Helena, and it is rich in history. There are generally a lot of things you can do around there as far as trails and things go.

I live over in Great Falls, which is about 70 miles from there. When you do move, if you want to do some wheeling let me know. Been trying to find a group of like minded people to go out and have some fun with.

I hear ya. I've got a friend near Bozeman that says the same thing. I was looking at CO but entirely too Blue for me. I'm afraid Missoula would be the same way.

I have a very limiting set of requirements that I'm looking for:
Land (I need at least 100 acres, preferably mixed timber/pasture or all timber)
within an hour or so drive of work
would prefer to live in hilly country near mountains or even amongst the mountains.

I hadn't given much thought to Great Falls as I thought it was mostly flat grasslands. But I could try to find a place a few miles West of town and be happy. I'll definitely add it to my list of possibilities.
