Eugene, Oregon?

Aloha! Was wondering if anybody on the forums were located in or around the Eugene area? Maybe even up to the Portland area.

Also, I have been looking for somebody to help me install a 6" lift on my 2004 F150 and shops around here have been just ridiculous!

I'm in Eugene!
I don't think I would be much help on the lift though.
We should have a spark plug party though, I have an 04 FX4 supercrew

There are others in Eugene haha. I have the 4.6L engine, though I have been wanting to change my spark plugs too!

never owned 1 of the newer f150s, but i am going to school to be a mechanic and working in a shop right now. the lift shouldn't be to hard. hardest part will be keeping dry with this Oregon rain.

Plugs are pretty simple to do, just have various length extensions available and socket swivel extensions. You can even check out YouTube on how to change them. I did mine last month, took about 3 hours and be sure to torque the plugs to 28lbs.

As for the lift, if you can follow directions you can do it. Air tools make the job a lot easier. You may just have to bite the bullet and pay a shop to do it. Also remember to get an alignment when ever you change the ride height.

I would think (after watching videos and reading) that the plugs are not TO difficult. My concern is after buying the extraction tool, plugs, grease, etc. I might be pretty in par with just having a shop do it.
I am more than willing to help out with the lift and learn/meet locals and learn about the world of trucks and make new friends.
I'm 35 and this is my first truck.
Anyone ever wanna meet up or help with projects, I'm game! Just pm me!

Aloha Duck,
I used to attend school in Aloha (Oregon), about 50 years ago!
I still do my own wrenching on my '96 150XLT 2WD but I gave up muddin' back in the 80's after my checkbook told me it was just as spendy as owning a boat!
I've had some hair-raising experiences though; like the time I had to traverse a landslide when there was no other way out, and another time when I burned up my new clutch saving my buddy's '73 F250 Highboy from sliding all the way off the trail and down a steep 500 ft snow covered embankment. For awhile it was just me (and my wife), my '73 Landcruiser, and a 1/2 ton come-along, but that is a whole 'nother story....
