I would think Corona closer to Big Bear than Burbank... I could drive to Corona (and suck in traffic most of the way these days), meet you there then head up to the mountain.

Sorry I've been really busy, newborn + 1st mothers day for momma.
All the trails are mostly OK for 2wd. All through Holcomb Valley and gold mountain are pretty well traveled, there may be a few tough spots but I don't think there would be any problems.
I usually go out for firewood or hunting not looking for 4x4 trails, so I looked some up:

Next weekend is a fishing tournament I'd like to get in if I can get the boat running in time.
After that, nothing going on until father's day I think, but it is hard to plan much with the baby.
